The Applications Panel

The Applications panel provides easy access to all of the applications on your computer. You can use the search bar to find applications by name or you can also look through the categories in the Application panel. For your convenience, you can "pin" , or make shortcuts for, the applications you use most often, so they appear in Myzone, where you can quickly find them.

Note: Besides clicking on the Applications icon in the toolbar, you can press the Alt + F2 keys on your keyboard to open the Applications panel.

The applications search bar is a search/filtering tool for all the applications on your computer. When searching, favorite applications and categories are replaced by the search results. To reset the application panel view, simply clear the search field.

Application categories organize your applications. Selecting a category expands it and minimizes the other categories. The order of the categories, and the applications within a category, is alphabetical. The categories are: Accessories, Games, Internet, Media, Office, and System Tools.

Favorite applications allow you to get to your most used applications quickly. To make an application a favorite, click the pin icon that appears in the top right-hand corner of a highlighted application, which sets/unsets, or pins/unpins, your favorite applications. When you pin an application, it automatically appears as a shortcut, or favorite, in the bottom left of your Myzone and on the left of the Applications panel. Unpin an application to remove it from your favorites.
