Rescan Your Music Library

Rescanning your media library makes sure that the media files in it reflect the files in the folders that have been imported into your library. It also removes duplicate copies of files.

1. To rescan your media library, open The Media Panel and click on the note icon  to open the media player.
2. I the upper right corner of the media player toolbar, click this icon , and select Tools, then Rescan Music Library. Depending on the number of files in your library, this may take a few minutes.
