The People Panel

The People panel is the central point for all your contacts. It contains the contacts from your Messenger (IM) account. The People panel shows you who’s online or available, so you can chat instantly.

The People panel has 2 areas:

• Me and my people, on the left side of the panel, lists all of your online contacts, from A-Z, by first name.
  Note: This list of contacts comes from the lists of contacts in the Messenger account(s) you sign into.
• My conversations, on the right, lists all of the people you’re chatting with, also from A-Z, by first name.

Note: Add contacts through your Messenger account. If you have a Messenger account, you must enter your account details into the IM Settings screen, which you can open from the People panel. You must have Messenger running, before your contacts will appear.

Once you’ve added a new Messenger account or set up your existing account, you can open the Messenger screen, which includes its own help system. In the meantime, we’ve included a few help topics to get you started.
